Starting today (June 8), Mark Neumann will finally be seen portraying the grown up lead character of TV5’s first-ever Philippine adaptation of the Korean hit series Baker King.
The TV5 primetime series is off to a good start after it premiered last May 18. Like how its original version was loved by its followers all over Asia, TV5’s Baker King has captured the hearts of Filipino viewers, owing much to the distinct Pinoy flavor that has been given to the popular series.
Since the initial airing of Baker King on TV5, viewers have followed the life of the young Tak Gu and his countless struggles. Now, they are anticipating the much-awaited appearance of Mark Neumann as the adult Tak Gu.
Mark Neumann considers this opportunity of playing the title role in Baker King as a great blessing and his biggest break to date. Aware of the immense popularity of the iconic character of Tak Gu in Baker King, he prepared extensively for the role. In order to give an honest and effective portrayal as a man who seeks to be the best baker in the country, Mark took baking lessons to fully understand the art and science of baking. Additionally, he has undergone strenuous physical trainings in order to prepare for his fight scenes in the series.
