McDonald’s Philippines Founder and Chairman Dr. George T. Yang was honored as an Icon of Entrepreneurship, Innovation and Impact by the San Beda College Graduate School of Business for his exemplary success in bringing McDonald’s to the country, for providing secure jobs to over 32,000 Filipinos, and for his notable contributions in nation-building through the Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) Philippines.
A proud Bedan during his formative years, Dr. George T. Yang was recognized for his profound entrepreneurial spirit, innovative thinking and undeniable impact to the society. Through his vision and hard work, Dr. Yang has elevated McDonald’s from its first restaurant in Morayta, Manila in 1981 to over 450 stores across the Philippines to date.
