“I am thrilled to have been asked to be a part of the judging panel for what promises to be the mother of all talent shows; Asia’s Got Talent. Not only will I get to enjoy the performances of applicants from 13 countries (hopefully there will be some opportunities for a bit of chair-dancing!) but I also get to travel to an amazing part of the world that I rarely have the chance to visit. How exciting is that?!! It’s going to be broadcast in more countries than I can remember so hopefully lots of you will be able to watch.”
Melanie Chisholm (a.k.a. Mel C) posted on her website her excitement over a new TV project, this time as a judge for the talent show, “Asia’s Got Talent” airing over AXN.
The 40-year-old former Spice Girl will be joining Grammy-winning musician David Foster, Indonesian rock icon Anggun and Taiwanese-American pop idol Van Ness Wu in the judging panel.
“Asia’s Got Talent” is the world’s first ever pan-regional edition of the global hit “Got Talent” format. Billed as the biggest talent competition in the world, “Asia’s Got Talent” will feature some of the region’s most incredible performing artists as they compete to take home the coveted winning title.
Those individual or group acts that advance to the semi- finals will face an even more intimidating judge, the AXN audience at home who will ultimately determine who wins the first season of “Asia’s Got Talent”. Adding to the excitement, the semi-finals and finale will be held at the iconic Marina Bay Sands, Singapore, with the winner awarded a contract to return and perform live.
“Asia’s Got Talent” is the 63rd version of “Got Talent”, which won the Guinness World Records title for being the world’s “Most Successful Reality TV Format” in 2014. The hit format is co-owned by FremantleMedia and Simon Cowell’s Syco Entertainment.
The inaugural season of “Asia’s Got Talent” on AXN is proudly presented by Marina Bay Sands, BIG COLA, Pantene, Caltex, Jetstar and Tune Hotels.
