Metro’s all-female designers fashion show Metrowear Luxe, will air exclusively on Lifestyle on December 4 (Fri) to introduce more Filipinos to rising Pinay designers who are making waves in the fashion industry.
Metrowear Luxe recently celebrated the distinct fashion aesthetics of Charina Sarte, Rosanna Ocampo, Sassa Jimenez, Maureen Disini, and Vania Romoff five rising Pinay designers who are receiving recognitions for their talent.
Metro editor-in-chief Sarah Meier said that the idea behind Metrowear Luxe is to celebrate female designers.
“It had been a while since we celebrated a female designer, that’s why we decided to do a group show and celebrate all-female designers who are really starting to crank up the pace and momentum in the fashion industry.”
She added, “We really wanted to represent all types of women in Metrowear Luxe and all the designs that were showcased by the designers represented that.”
Sarah also praised young designer Rosenthal Tee who opened the show with her modern minimalist aesthetic designs, saying that Rosenthal “will do really well in the industry.”
Manila’s high society and famous personalities also graced Metrowear Luxe including Heart Evangelista, Tweetie de Leon-Gonzalez, Isabelle Daza, Kiana Valenciano, BJ Pascual, Janine Gutierrez, Kelsey Merritt, Phoemela Barranda, Nicole Ortega, Raymond Guttierez, and Tim Yap, among others.
Metrowear Luxe will premiere via Lifestyle on December 4 (Friday), 10PM with replays on December 5 at 2PM, December 6 at 7PM, December 9 at 1PM, and December 10 at 2:30PM.
