Beaming with smiles and pride, more than 60,000 kids celebrated their McDonald’s Kiddie Crew summer experience with a special Grand Graduation event.

The series of Grand Graduation were held in Laguna, Pampanga, Bacolod, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Davao and Batangas – the newest location added this year. The last and biggest Grand Graduation took place in World Trade Center Manila in Pasay City last May 30 and 31.

With their families in tow, kids hopped from one graduation booth activity to another including face painting, shooting hoops, building monster towers, competing in a buzzer beater game, animal balloon making and enjoyed the active play zone.

The program was packed with surprises and performances for the whole family and was hosted by Ms. Jackie Lou Blanco and Drew Arellano. McDonald’s endorsers Lovi Poe and Alonzo Muhlach, also joined the fun.

Kids also met McDonald’s Chief Happiness Officer Ronald McDonald and his friends, Grimace, Hamburglar and Birdie. They had activities with the kids, congratulated and encouraged them to cherish their Kiddie Crew experience.

The program capped off with kids reciting the Kiddie Crew Oath followed by the singing of their graduation song “Make Things Happen” and the ceremonial Kiddie Crew cap toss.

The 5-day annual summer workshop is McDonald’s flagship family program that has been running for over 20 years in the Philippines. It aims to promote children’s wellbeing through fun and enriching activities where every Kiddie Crew member learns, develop skills, have fun and make new friends.

“We are pleased that our Kiddie Crew members had an amazing summer experience at McDonald’s. More than 60,000 is the highest number of participants we’ve had in years and it’s an affirmation that a lot of kids are enjoying what we have for them every summer. We are also happy to see their whole families enjoying the grand graduation activities. This inspires us more to continue providing enjoyable experiences for families at McDonald’s,” said McDonald’s President and CEO Kenneth S. Yang.
