Everyone’s favorite basketball league is finally back in what seemed like a year of wait during the off-season. The “NBA sa ABS-CBN” is back on ABS-CBN and ABS-CBN Sports + Action and it is now better than ever.

ABS-CBN Sports is also excited to have one of the best 1-2 punches in Philippine basketball history in collegiate coaches Ronnie Magsanoc and Benjie Paras return on board and joins mainstays Boom Gonzalez and TJ Manotoc in the game panel to share their own basketball knowledge with Kapamilya viewers.

“We’re really excited to have the famed Point Laureate and Tower of Power to join us for the broadcasts of exciting NBA games both on ABS-CBN and ABS-CBN Sports + Action,” ABS-CBN Sports head Dino Laurena said.

“Basketball is life here in our country. Most Filipinos want to be identified not with only the local stars, but also with the great players who fill the NBA landscape, and with ABS-CBN Sports giving them the opportunity to catch these stars play the game they love, its heaven,” said Magsanoc.

“What we’re really bringing to the table as far as the games are concerned is our knowledge first and foremost. And of course, that barkada vibe since everyone knows how close Ronnie and I are, which goes a long way back,” Paras said when asked about their broadcast duties.

“The NBA is universal. Most, if not all, really follow the league. And the good thing with ABS-CBN Sports’ broadcasts is that not only are they bringing the known stars closer to the Filipino people but letting them get to know up and coming stars like Anthony Davis (of the New Orleans Pelicans) and Stephen Curry (from the defending NBA champs, the Golden State Warriors),” Paras added.

“NBA sa ABS-CBN” games will be broadcast on ABS-CBN every Saturday and ABS-CBN Sports + Action channel 23 every Friday, Sunday and Monday in the morning with primetime replays on the same days.
