A serious health scare will rock the simple and happy life of Ningning (Jana Agoncillo) as she begins to experience blurry vision in the top-rating Kapamilya tanghali serye.

After a series of colorful and memorable moments in her young life, Ningning will begin to deal with a very serious health threat when she tells her best friend Macmac (John Steven de Guzman) that her eyesight is getting blurry. Ningning’s revelation also worries her father Dondon (Ketchup Eusebio) who plans to have Ningning’s eyesight checked by a doctor.

The health bout Ningning will face is not far from the serious health condition of six-year-old Ashley, the little girl diagnosed with bone marrow cancer and epidermolysis bullosa whom Jana portrayed last week in “MMK.”

Because of Jana’s touching performance in the heart wrenching episode, “MMK” earned the fourth spot in the list of the most-watched weekend programs nationwide on November 28. The episode also garnered a rating of 25.7%, according to Kantar Media.

Jana’s titular role in “Ningning” also continues to captivate audiences since it remains as the most-watched morning weekday program nationwide. Based on data from Kantar Media, “Ningning” scored a national TV rating of 15.7% for November versus GMA’s “Princess in the Palace” which only earned 11.8%.

Jana also received another recognition for her stellar acting as she was named as Best New Female TV Personality in the 29th PMPC Star Awards for Television. She bested older actresses in her category including Loisa Andalio, Maine Mendoza, Mariz Racal, MJ Lastimosa, and Stephanie Yamut.

Will Jana continue to wow audiences with her drama skills as her character Ningning faces a big battle in her young life? Will the spark in Ningning’s eyes eventually fade or will her serious health scare be prevented? Don’t miss the exciting twists in “Ningning,” Mondays to Fridays before “It’s Showtime,” in ABS-CBN.
