Sharp engaged in a tree-planting activity as part of its efforts to promote awareness about climate change and sustainable development. With the help and participation of the City Government of Muntinlupa, various plants and trees such as the banaba, tabebuia and palm trees were planted at Baywalk, Bayanan, Muntinlupa City. This was extended up to the Tunasan, Muntinlupa side of the Baywalk where additional banaba and tabebuia trees were planted. Sharp believes that every tree they plant today can save lives and provide hope for a better tomorrow.
As regards to environmental education, Sharp (Phils.) Corporation conducted an Environmental Education Program for students of Bagong Silang Elementary School in Sucat, Muntinlupa City. The program aims to teach students about important environmental issues and how they can lend a hand in order to create a more sustainable future for the next generation of Filipinos. The objective is to equip young Filipinos with vital knowledge, skills, and practices to become environmentally responsible citizens.
For next year, Sharp is looking forward to doing more relevant CSR projects as a way of giving back to the community and to society.
