Singapore Airlines Launches Showcase & Travel Fair 2015

The Singapore Airlines Showcase & Travel Fair 2015 was launched on a high note at Glorietta Activity Center as the airline unveiled a suite of unparalleled travel offerings for the Philippines market. Highlights of the event included the exclusive Singapore Airlines Suites cabin product, which was brought into the Philippines on display for the very first time, preview of the airline’s newest cabin class – Premium Economy Class, and showcase of the airline’s new concept SilverKris Lounge that is slated to open at Ninoy Aquino International Airport in March this year.

Gracing this special occasion were Secretary Cesar Purisima of the Department of Finance, Secretary Joseph Emilio Aguinaldo Abaya of the Department of Transportation and Communications as well as some 500 guests from the diplomatic corps, travel industry, various business sectors and the media.

Singapore Airlines’ Regional Vice President for South East Asia, Philip Goh, reiterated the airline’s commitment in elevating the air travel and tourism landscape of the Philippines, “Singapore Airlines and our sister carrier, SilkAir, operate a total of 49 flights a week from the Philippines and connect to over 90 cities globally through Singapore. With 2015 being Visit The Philippines Year, we are all set to bring the world to the Philippines and showcase the Philippines to the world. Also, our investments this year, such as the recent introduction of our First Class product on one of our Manila to Singapore flights and the upcoming launch of our new concept SilverKris Lounge, clearly demonstrate the confidence we have in the Philippines as a tourist and business destination.”

Singapore Airlines’ General Manager for the Philippines, Carol Ong, further added, “Singapore Airlines is committed to bringing the best travel experience to our customers at exceptional value,” as she elaborated on the special travel deals that the airline is offering. “Besides our exceptional all-inclusive promotional airfares which start from USD145 for Economy Class and USD800 for Business Class, we are pleased to share that customers can now also enjoy the opportunity to book a one-night Singapore Stopover Holiday (SSH) package or a one-day Singapore Explorer Pass (SEP) at only USD 1.00.”

Singapore Airlines Showcase and Travel Fair

This year’s Singapore Airlines Showcase and Travel Fair is staged in partnership with Ayala Malls, BPI, Globe Telecom, the Singapore Tourism Board and the Changi Airport Group.  It will run from 6 – 8 of February 2015 at the Glorietta Activity Center, while the SilkAir Travel Fair will take place at Ayala Center Cebu.  A SilkAir booth will also be at Abreeza Mall Davao.

The Singapore Airlines Suites, the airline’s most premium offering, will be on display at the Travel Fair. Members of the public can try out the Suites seat and also view a whole range of offerings that the airline provides for its respective cabin classes.

The Travel Fair provides travelers access to Singapore Airlines and SilkAir’s exceptional all-in Business and Economy Class fares from Manila, Cebu, Davao and Kalibo to Singapore and various destinations around the world.  Travelers may purchase their tickets at the Travel Fair from 6 – 8 February 2015 or at the Singapore Airlines and SilkAir Ticketing Offices and selected travel agencies until February 28, 2015.  Travel period is until the December 31, 2015.

Singapore Airlines and SilkAir are offering Economy Class tickets to Singapore from USD145, to South East Asia from USD210, to India from USD690, to Australia from USD700, and to various destinations in Europe from USD899. Exceptional Economy Class fares to Hong Kong, Japan, Korea, Dubai, Maldives, New Zealand and South Africa are also available. On top of this, Singapore Airlines and SilkAir are also offering special Business Class fares to Singapore and Southeast Asia from USD800, to Australia from USD 2,500, to South Africa from USD 3,200, Europe from USD 3,500 and New Zealand from USD 3,800. Business Class travellers can also purchase tickets to Maldives and Dubai.

Customers availing of tickets with beyond-Singapore itineraries from 6 – 8 February at Singapore Airlines and SilkAir ticket offices or travel fairs will receive a complimentary SGD20 Changi Dollar voucher which can be used at participating shops at the Singapore Changi Airport during their stopovers.

These promotional fares are exclusive to BPI Credit Cardholders, Globe Platinum and Globe Blue customers, Glorietta, Ayala Center Cebu and Abreeza Mall Davao shoppers, and KrisFlyer members. Customers will enjoy up to 6 months Real 0% Special Installment Plan on their BPI Credit Card.

US$ 1 Singapore Stopover Holiday Package & Singapore Explorer Pass

In addition to the exceptional value fares, Singapore Airlines is offering Filipino travelers the opportunity to book a one-night Singapore Stopover Holiday (SSH) package or a one-day Singapore Explorer Pass (SEP) at a special promotional rate of US$1. This promotion is targeted at giving the airline’s customers a chance to enjoy more at less and is also part of a series of activities that Singapore Airlines has lined up for the year to celebrate Singapore’s 50th birthday.

The SSH package is for Singapore Airlines or SilkAir customers who are stopping over in Singapore before flying to their next destination. It includes hotel accommodation, airport transfers and entrance to major tourist attractions and activities. Customers can enjoy unlimited rides on the SIA Hop-on bus – an air-conditioned bus service for visits to more than 20 major attractions in Singapore, and a 50 per cent dining discount at designated food outlets at selected hotels.

The SEP offers access to over 20 tourist attractions and activities in Singapore. Its usual price starts from US$36 for a one-day adult pass or US$24 for a one-day child pass.

The offer is valid for new bookings and ticket sales made from 27 January to 28 February 2015 and is valid for travel from 27 January to 15 June 2015. Travellers can learn more about the special offerings and can book the promotional SSH package via Singapore Airlines reservations offices.
