Super Bowl of China SM Megamall now sports a visibly fresher look that resonates not only in the restaurant’s contemporary interiors and functional décor, but also in its cuisine.
“A number of elements, from the new logo and menu design, to staff uniforms, restaurant design, décor, floor and wall finishes, furnishings, and food presentation, have contributed to revamped Super Bowl of China, which is part of the company’s plan to capture a younger and wider market,” said Laine de Jesus-Vallar, senior marketing manager.
Since opening its first store in the country in 2001, guests have been coming back to the restaurant for its authentic Cantonese cuisine that’s delicious & affordable. Its long-standing commitment to give guests a satisfying dining experience without sacrificing quality has been rewarded with many satisfied and loyal guests. And with the renovation already completed, Super Bowl of China is ready to claim its spot as a favorite place to dine and celebrate.
A fresh start
One of the refreshing modifications are the drop lights hanging from the ceiling, which give the dining area an urban vibe that’s contemporary yet inviting. Tables and chairs have been ergonomically refashioned into simple and elegant furniture, arranged in a way that gives guests more space to move around. Lattice woodwork, a reference to the restaurant’s Oriental origins, can also be seen in parts of the wall area, while another section features an infographic décor that sums up the brand’s history & personality.
“This infographic décor is a unique wall accessory that gives guests a quick glance into Super Bowl of China’s history, heritage, and bestselling dishes,” Vallar said.
Aside from the visual and architectural changes introduced in the restaurant, Super Bowl of China now has a new logo that is more streamlined and modern. The iconic bowl in the old logo has been retained to pay homage the brand’s heritage.
The restaurant’s other branches are also currently being renovated to reflect the new look and feel of the brand.
Something old, something new
Dishes at Super Bowl of China remain to be as creative and delicious, and many of everyone’s old favorites are still house bestsellers.
The Dimsum Combination Platter, for instance, is always a must-order for regular guests who can’t get enough of the dimsum sampler. Other classics are the Lemon Chicken, breaded fillet of chicken served with Worcestershire sauce and spicy salt on the side; Sweet and Sour Pork, succulent breaded pork cutlets in sweet, sour and savory sauce and Sliced Beef with Brocolli, tender beef slices on a bed of fresh broccoli flowers, mixed mushrooms, carrots sautéed in a sesame-oyster sauce. Seafood lovers, on the other hand, opt for the Szechuan Shrimps for its plump and juicy shrimps stir fried with carrots, bell peppers, mushrooms, dried Taiwan chili, peanuts and Szechuan Sauce.
Popular during birthdays and family occasions is the Super Bowl Birthday Noodles. This E Fu-based noodle dish is generously topped with fresh shrimp, roast pork asado, cuttlefish, quail eggs, sliced pork, and mixed vegetables. For rice-loving Filipinos, top selling choices are the Chinese Chorizo Rice and the quintessential Yang Chow Fried Rice.
Desserts include classic favorites such as the peanut buchi , black gulaman and the well-loved taho, served with tapioca balls and sweet syrup which customers can add to their liking.
As a way to introduce the “new” Super Bowl, the restaurant is offering its Limited Time Offer selection featuring new dishes such as Beef Hofan, Beef with Ampalaya & Black Beans, Hot Chicken Salad, Pork Wanton with Mala Sauce, and the refreshing Red Bean Milk Tea.
