After much clamor from movie aficionados for the romance comedy (romcom) “Must Date The Playboy,” and online requests from KimXi (monicker for Kim Chiu and Xian Lim loveteam) fans, The Filipino Channel (TFC) will finally bring the movie overseas via simultaneous release in theaters in North America (U.S. & Canada), via Pay Per View (PPV) on TFC IPTV & online platform TFC.tv in select states/provinces in North America; via PPV on TFC IPTV in the Middle East, Europe, Japan, Australia and New Zealand; and via TFC.tv in these countries and elsewhere, worldwide this October.
“Must Date The Playboy,” with screenplay based on a Wattpad series (online source of originally written stories from contributors) of the same title, brings back two of the hottest names in Philippine showbusiness Teen Superstar Kim Chiu and Kapamilya Heartthrob Xian Lim after starring in their own films, in a movie with a convoluted, romantic twist.
Xian plays Zach, a certified heartthrob and playboy at that, who gets the attention of many girls much to his girlfriend Chloe’s (Jessy Mendiola who plays villain for the first time) chagrin. In her life, Chloe gets what she wants so when she finds out that Zach has been cheating on her, he drops him and thinks that Zach has moved on.
Now, happy to be in a relationship with another man, Greg (Matt Evans), Chloe finds Zach decided on getting her back. Chloe then taps her bestfriend Chloe (Kim) to date the ladies’ man and exact revenge for her. Zach initially dismisses Tori but later on realizes that she is her way back to Chloe’s heart. Tori, embarrassed, demands real courtship from Zach but plans a revenge at the back of her mind.
“Must Date the Playboy” now details how Zach and Tori have similarities and find themselves slowly falling for each other that is until, Chloe realizes she wants Zach back.
Will Tori sacrifice yet again for her bestfriend Chloe? Will she forego her feelings even if, deep in her heart, she knows that she has found the one?
