The movie will also screen thereafter in Sydney and New Zealand on October 8 and in Singapore on October 18.
The screening of “Etiquette for the Mistresses” is truly a milestone for TFC@theMovies according to its Business Unit Head, John-D Lazatin. “While TFC has been screening movies for as long as we can remember and TFC@theMovies has been producing films specifically for the overseas Filipino audience since 2011, these simultaneous screenings speak not only of how we always strive to deliver the best from the homeland and tailor fit content for our OF audience, but also create that shared experience amongst Filipinos in the Philippines and elsewhere in the world,” says Lazatin.
Directed by master storyteller Chito Rono and written for the big screen by Kriz Gazmen and Patrick Valencia, Etiquette For Mistresses is inspired by journalist and author Julie Yap-Daza’s best-selling book of the same title.
The film brings together an amazing ensemble cast of the country’s finest acting talents led by Claudine Barretto, Iza Calzado, Cheena Crab, Kim Chiu, and Kris Aquino.
“Etiquette For Mistresses” is centered on a group of sophisticated, well-mannered mistresses who embark on their individual journeys to find love. Issues arise in their lives because not all mistresses are alike there are those who exemplify the stereotype while there are those who position themselves accordingly because they are truly aware of their place in the sun.
The mistresses seem to have everything yet they feel that they have nothing because deep inside, they know that their love will never be whole. They all struggle to break their hearts free from the prisons they themselves helped create.
“Etiquette For Mistresses” offers moviegoers a glimpse of the varied stories, different loves, and many pains found in the secret world of mistresses.
