Zumba Instructor Madelle Paltu-Ob Takes A Leap To A Healthier Lifestyle

Dancing was a part of her life as a kid, but Zumba instructor Maria Adelaida “Madelle” Enriquez Paltu-ob hadn’t counted on making it her career.

Growing up, Madelle was a frisky and energetic child who loved to entertain people—dancing at Christmas parties, birthday celebrations, and other family gatherings. But there came a point in her life when she outgrew dancing and segued into other stuff like sports, theater, and acting.

Madelle, however, eventually learned that the things we love have a way of haunting us. She rediscovered her passion for dancing at age 19, when she joined a summer camp in April 2003.

“Since then, I never stopped dancing. I had a newfound purpose of using my talent to ignite passion and inspire other people around me,” she says. “You see, passion is my middle name.”

Madelle became part of the Philippine All Stars, the country’s first Hip Hop Team, and eventually put up her own dance studio, Brewing Point, which is now on its 10th year.

“I worked hard and never said no to open doors and opportunities,” she avers. “I stood by the values and principles I believed in, and danced with excellence.”

However, the demands of a growing family eventually prompted Madelle to leave the Philippine All Stars. Together with her husband, she instead focused on operating their dance studio, and started offering Zumba and fitness classes as well.

She soon realized that a lithe dancer’s body is difficult to maintain, especially for mothers like Madelle, who had one baby after another. “After having my third baby, I hit a plateau in my weight and stayed at 150 lbs. for some time. Despite doing cardio, I still couldn’t go back to my ideal weight,” she reveals.

So to stay in shape and complement her cardio exercises, Madelle takes fiber in the form of C-Lium powder.

Having consistently taken C-Lium Fibre for two years now, Madelle has been happily reaping its positive benefits. “Whenever I take C-Lium Fibre, I feel good and light all throughout the day, and the best thing about it is that it makes me feel good about myself,” she says.

C-Lium Fibre is made from natural psyllium plant, which is a good source of soluble and insoluble fiber. Psyllium Fiber helps lower bad cholesterol and blood sugar in the body, reduce fat absorption, and maintain a healthy digestive system, among others.

“Because I feel lighter, I push myself to the limit whenever I can,” Madelle says. “Thus I can say that taking fiber supplement such as C-Lium helps me not just in my workout, but also in other aspects of my life. When you feel good about yourself, you’re inspired to leave your comfort zone and try new things.”

With C-Lium, Madelle continues to dance her way toward a healthy lifestyle. “Dance isn’t just for the young. Even older people can let go and express themselves through movement and, at the same time, stay healthy,” she asserts. “We hope that in our lifetime, we will get to see dance and music break all barriers and unite us all.”

C-Lium Fibre comes in two formats—husk powder and capsule form—and is available in leading drugstores and supermarkets nationwide.
