Showbiz and media personalities are rallying behind someone among them – #113 AGBIAG PARTYLIST’s nominee Atty. Dot Gancayco.

TV host Boy Abunda, Erich Gonzales, Daniel Matsunaga, Director Bobot Mortiz, actors Tirso Cruz III, Ricky Davao and Al Tantay, singer Nonoy Zuñiga, comedienne Marissa Sanchez, and young actor Yves Flores, have all come out in strong support of Atty Dot Ramos B. Gancayco, who is running for a congressional seat via #113 AGBIAG Partylist for this coming May 9 elections. Atty Dot, who is also known as “The Singing Lawyer” was an artist of Boy Abunda’s BACKROOM Talent Management in the ’90s, until she had to quit her professional singing career to give birth to her second child Mika after which she decided to work full time as Chief of Staff for various Representatives in Congress including Governor Albert Garcia of Bataan and #113 AGBIAG Partylist Representative Patrick Antonio. She has held this position for about 20 years, until she was elected President of the Association of all Congressional Chiefs of Staff at the House of Representatives.

Atty. Dot Gancayco, aside from being an outstanding lawyer is a very intelligent and multi-talented lady. A Kamuning Elementary School Class Valedictorian, she writes for the Philippine Star Entertainment Section for Ricky Lo, and guests on television and radio programs where she is often invited to talk as a resource speaker on topics ranging from law to personality development. She is a Champion Singer, Champion Dancer, Fun Run Champion and was a piano and voice scholar at the University of the Philippines, where she also finished her law degree and was a soloist of the internationally-acclaimed U.P. Concert Chorus.

Public service has always been in the heart of Atty Dot. She has given free legal services and free legal seminars for the poor. She has given many community projects which benefited a lot of people through Rotary International, where her husband, Atty Pablo Gancayco once served as District 3780 Governor. She is a philanthropist, who has raised funds for showbiz personalities and visual artist who needed help. She has helped many singers and bands in need for which reason all of them are coming out to show their full support of her #113 AGBIAG Partylist.

In his strong endorsement for #113 AGBIAG Partylist – Boy Abunda stressed that he personally knows Atty. Dot Gancayco as a very intelligent, hardworking, and incorruptible person. He said that this lawyer, who has a genuine heart for the poor, can do a lot for the protection of our poor farmers and fishermen, the women, the youth and the OFWs.

The #113 AGBIAG Partylist’s main advocacies include protection of farmers and fishermen, poverty alleviation, promotion of Filipino art, music and culture. And empowering women and youth. It also aims to provide equal opportunity in education, technology and health care for all.

Aside from showbiz and media personalities, many people have come out on social media rooting for #113 AGBIAG Partylist’s Nominee singing lawyer Atty Dot Gancayco. They believe that this new face with a true heart for public service, who has competence, experience, and sterling qualifications, will surely be a breath of fresh air and an asset to the House of Representatives.

There is still hope for this country.
