AWOLNATION has released the video for their new single “Woman Woman”. The Marc Klasfeld (Foo Fighters, Jay-Z, Red Hot Chili Peppers) directed clip premiered via The Late Late Show with James Corden.
Aaron Bruno, the musical architect behind AWOLNATION, worked closely with Klasfeld on a video that exemplified the track’s themes. “I was excited to be able to work with Marc on this,” says Bruno. “Right away he understood the song and that I wanted to create something lighthearted, energetic and authentic featuring women in their natural state, and I think that really comes through in the video.” “It’s a celebration,” Klasfeld adds about the music video, which was cast with all actual musicians. “A hymn to all women. We didn’t add any makeup, we didn’t use any big styling elements, obviously we didn’t use any clothes…”
AWOLNATION will join Fall Out Boy on a North American arena tour. The month long string of dates kicks off in Hollywood, FL and runs through March 27th in San Francisco, CA. Many of the dates are already sold-out, including New York City’s Madison Square Garden show on March 4th.
The tour supports AWOLNATION’s new album Run (Red Bull Records), which was written, performed and produced entirely by Bruno. First single “Hollow Moon (Bad Wolf)” went to No. 1 on the Alternative Radio charts, and “I Am” became the band’s fifth consecutive Top 10 hit. Since the album’s release the band has played festivals like Bonnaroo and Reading & Leeds, performed on Jimmy Kimmel Live, Conan and Late Night with Seth Meyers and they are nominated for an iHeartRadio Music Award for ‘Alternative Rock Artist of the Year’ alongside Foo Fighters and Muse.
AWOLNATION’s gold-certified debut album Megalithic Symphony was an alternative music revelation that became an astonishing success resonating with fans around the world. Their hit single “Sail” is certified 6X Platinum in the US and is the longest-charting song by an independent artist in Billboard Hot 100 history, amassing hundreds of millions of video views and streaming plays online globally. Following the success of “Sail”, the band would go on to have two more hit singles, “Not Your Fault” and “Kill Your Heroes”, which sold over a million downloads combined.
