LBC Express, Inc., the world’s leading courier and cargo solutions provider to the Philippines, has tied up with Smart Shelter to launch a first-of-its-kind cargo and courier service for UAE residents.
Through LBC’s service at Smart Shelter, the UAE’s innovative new kerbside retail concept, UAE residents will be able to courier parcels and send cargo to 236 destinations across the globe, covering Middle East, Asia Pacific, North
America, Europe and Oceania.

LBC has already commenced services at Smart Shelters located in Satwa, Mankhool, Sheikh Zayed, Bur Dubai and Al Rigga.
Customers will also be able to purchase LBC Express’ cargo balikbayan boxes round the clock through the Al Shamil convenience stores situated in 30 other Smart Shelters across Dubai.

Created and exclusively operated by Al Shamil Foodstuff Trading, in partnership with the Dubai Roads & Transport Authority (RTA) and Right Angle Media, Smart Shelter is open all day every day, with services including free WiFi, mobile charging, Nol and telecom recharge, bill payments and mini-market shopping.
The LBC courier and cargo service at Smart Shelter operates from 7:00am to 11:00pm every day.
LBC officially announced its Smart Shelter service at a grand launch event held recently at Al Ghurair Rayhaan Rotana, Deira, Dubai.
During the event, LBC also highlighted its partnership with First Gulf Bank, one of the UAE’s leading financial institutions, in providing customers easy installment payment scheme at zero per cent interest for cargo services.
Furthermore, the company unveiled its marketing strategy for the entire Middle East region, including service enhancements, better go-to market plan and other customer-focused initiatives.
LBC revealed its enhanced customer rewards program, LBC Plus, which involves a mobile phone point system. The points earned through the system are equivalent to discounts for cargo services. Likewise, LBC Plus members based in the UAE can earn and redeem points through the company’s network partners including The Medical City, Little Manila, Conquer and Hot Palayok.
LBC is operating an 11,700 square feet warehouse in Al Quoz, Dubai to be of service to residents in the country.
The company, which serves 500 to 600 customers every day, has expanded its service capabilities by partnering with over 500 agents located nationwide, allowing it to be positioned as one of the biggest Filipino companies in the UAE.
LBC Express has presence in over 30 countries worldwide including the Middle East. The region contributes more than 25 per cent of the retail international business, attributing close to half of the sales from the UAE.
