How do voters choose which candidate to support, endorse, and vote? Do they use the mind or does emotion prevail? Are their decisions based on the skills, knowledge, or reputation of the candidate?
Those are but a few of the questions DZMM hopes to answer in the “Pasado? Para sa Pamilyang Pilipino” forum on Wednesday (March 16), starting at eight in the morning at the Rizal Park Open Auditorium, in Manila. Led by multi-awarded TV and radio anchor Ted Failon, experts try to figure out the basis of Filipinos for voting, and also expose the reasons behind, or the true meaning, of the usual actions and messages of various candidates – from their campaign jingles, to speeches, their behavior and platforms.
After analyzing the candidates for president, vice president , and senator in the upcoming election, the Filipino family and Filipino voters will be guided by the leading AM radio station in Mega Manila, together with political strategist Prof. Teehankee Julio from De La Salle University, political analysts Prof. Edna Co of the University of the Philippines and Prof. Edmund Tayao from the University of Santo Tomas, sociologist Prof. Jayeel Cornelio from Ateneo De Manila University, image branding expert and former ABS-CBN Corporate Communications head Bong Osorio, and Prof. Ronald Holmes of Pulse Asia.
DZMM Radyo Patrol reporters will also go to different parts of the Philippines to hear the thoughts of Filipinos in the provinces. The purpose of the forum is to help the Filipino voters in choosing candidates worthy enough and prepared to stand for the Filipino and their families. The “Pasado? Para sa Pamilyang Pilipino Forum” will air live simultaneously on DZMM Radyo Patrol 630 and DZMM TeleRadyo nationwide and on ABS-CBN TV Plus from eight until ten in the morning.
