Told through the lens of a love story, A Girl In The River: The Price Of Forgiveness examines the tensions between modernism and tradition in Pakistan, following a courageous young woman who lives to tell of her attempted honor killing by her own family.
The groundbreaking documentary is directed by Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy, whose previous credits include HBO’s Oscar®-winning “Saving Face,” making her the first woman to win two documentary Oscars®.
