Understand the true meaning of freedom as ABS-CBN airs historical films “Heneral Luna” and “Bonifacio: Ang Unang Pangulo” this Independence Day weekend.
A depiction of the life of General Antonio Luna, “Heneral Luna” is a 2015 Filipino historical biopic film that highlights the leadership and bravery of General Luna during the Philippine-American War. The role of “Heneral Luna” was expertly portrayed by award-winning actor John Arcilla and the film is now the highest-grossing Filipino historical film of all time.
Meanwhile, Robin Padilla takes on the role of Andres Bonifacio in “Bonifacio: Ang Unang Pangulo“. The 2014 Philippine historical action drama film is centered on the struggles and triumphs of who some consider as the Philippines’ first president.
