Stories of the past and untold secrets enrich our understanding of a place and our heritage as a people. In an effort to bring out the beauty of Northern Luzon beyond its sights, delicacies, and adventure, Victory Liner, Inc. pioneers a documentary telling tales of the locale in a series entitled, “Know Your North.”

The short films explore the diverse cultures and traditions of Northern Luzon through commissioned expeditions led by filmmakers from Extra Mile Productions, alongside VLI ambassador and UP mountaineer, Kiko Rustia.

Viewable online, the cinematic journeys feature Baguio royalties such as Kidlat Tahimik, thriving local businesses such as Mt. Cloud, iconic landmarks such as The Diplomat Hotel and ancient rituals like the Cañao.

The ongoing documentary is a journey about discovery as VLI aims to promote responsible tourism and a love for the destinations that the bus company has serviced for more than 70 years. “Tourists and travelers play a big role in eco-conservatism. They don’t just provide jobs and business to an area, but likewise, encourage the communities that welcome them to try a little harder in the conservation front. Let’s promote responsible eco-travelling by raising our awareness first of our responsibilities before going to these places,” said Rustia in an interview with bloggers and journalists.

“Know Your North” is a passionate pursuit of getting to know Northern provinces beyond their beauty, but also for the locales’ distinctive spirit and character. The journey runs deep for Victory Liner, Inc. as it continues to be Filipinos’ trusted partner in taking them responsibly towards their destination.

As the country’s largest bus transport provider servicing Northern Luzon routes with over 70 years in the industry, VLI has definitely gained foothold in the transportation industry by consistently providing reliable, convenient, and efficient service. Combining the excitement of travel with the highest level of comfort and safety is the bus company’s premier offering that is also part of its efforts to promote Philippine tourism especially the treasures up North.
