Ayala-led East Zone concessionaire Manila Water presented a Certificate of Appreciation to the Department of Public Works and Highways–National Capital Region for its continued support and vital contribution to the company’s environmental advocacy program, “Lingap Sapa,” which was recently recognized with a Gold Anvil Award by the Public Relations Society of the Philippines.
DPWH Regional Director Melvin Navarro received the certificate together with DPWH Maintenance Division Chief Reynaldo Rosario from Manila Water Advocacy and Research Department Head Fernando Busuego III. Under the Lingap Sapa advocacy, DPWH-NCR and Manila Water, along with other government agencies forged partnerships to instill environmental champions in barangays to regularly clean-up the esteros and waterways within their respective barangays.
Busuego thanked the agency for its valuable support in helping rehabilitate the waterways in Metro Manila. DPWH-NCR’s Regional Director Navarro likewise expressed the same sentiment and acknowledged Manila Water’s environmental programs, as well as various infrastructure programs in improving the water and used water systems in its service area.
