McDonald’s Tagaytay-Calamba Road officially opens its doors to the public on December 10, 2016.
We were privileged to see the first look of the new concept store a day before of it’s actual launch and we are impressed with the store’s interior design. The design of the store is intended to create an enhanced Tagaytay lounging and dining experience.
The strong physical gesture of the canopy marks the entrance to where the start of a relaxing McDonald’s Tagaytay experience begins. It’s different from the usual entrances of other McDonald’s stores.
Since Tagaytay is a famous weekend or day trip destination for families and friends, McDonald’s wanted to match the experience that people are looking for when they go here with a different look that sets the Tagaytay-Calamba Road store apart from other McDonald’s stores in the Philippines.
Materials like raw concrete, brick and wood were used in the construction and design of the site. McDonald’s made use of these materials because they give the store a strong connection to the natural beauty of Tagaytay. The way it was built also took inspiration from where the store is located — the store is on the main road, but also has a gorgeous overlooking view of the Taal Lake. Elements like the dining spaces, al fresco area, and other outdoor areas extend and blend in with the natural landscape and environment.
An element that differentiates this store is the floor dedicated entirely to McCafe, where customers can enjoy a wide array of specialty coffee drinks, cakes and other pastries.
The new McDonald’s store is located at 3120 Tagaytay-Calamba Road, Barangay San Jose, Tagaytay City.
