Sponsored by SM Supermalls, the country’s biggest mall network, #SMDay adapted the theme #TayoPH, which according to @TweetupMNL “stands as a clarion call to stand together as a people. To celebrate social media’s triumphs and recall its potential harnessing social media’s strengths in bringing people together, in crossing boundaries, and merging divides.”

“It’s time to make the conversation positive and productive again,” Ros Juan, cofounder of @TweetupMNL shares. “We want to celebrate social media’s triumphs and recall its potential in making a meaningful impact in the lives of others.”

SMDay 2016 attendees were treated to a string of empoweringal #TayoPH tks from the country’s web pioneers, booming online communities and social media ventures and emerging social media initiatives.
