Ronnie Alonte revisits his life experiences before joining the boy group Hashtags as he gives life to his own life story in “MMK” this Saturday (March 19).
Ronnie came from a wealthy family in Laguna. But everything changed when his father (Nonie Buencamino) lost an eye from a motorcycle accident, making him unable to work. This eventually led to their family’s bankruptcy.
This forced Ronnie to transfer to a public school, where he became less focused on his academics and started missing a lot of his classes. Without improvement, Ronnie eventually flunked out of school, and began to blame all of his misfortunes and how their life changed so much on his parents.
However, Ronnie was given the chance to change through his passion in basketball. He got a 100% varsity scholarship in a different school, where he became the star player of their varsity team.
Just before he graduated from high school, Ronnie won a school pageant. From then on, he tried his luck in TV commercials until he was discovered in ABS-CBN.
Joining this “MMK” episode are Ara Mina, Angelo Ilagan, Ysabel Ortega, CJ Navato, at Joshua Dionisio. The episode is directed by Jerry Lopez Sineneng and written by Jimuel Dela Cruz. “MMK” is led by business unit head Malou Santos.
