For one night, the people behind the success of The Filipino Channel (TFC) took the spotlight as the premier network recognized the winning dealers and agents at the Global Dealer and Customer Service Excellence Awards held at the Studio 10 of the ABS-CBN Corporation headquarters in January.
The tables were turned as Kapamilya Heartthrobs such as Jericho Rosales, Matteo Guidicelli and Gerald Anderson and hosts Robi Domingo and Maxene Magalona paid tribute to Agent of the Year Mhyrna Macarasig, Team of the Year lead Karen Geronio; and Dealer of the Year Leona Salas in ceremonies fitting of women worthy of the work they rendered and the passion they manifested the past year.
According to ABS-CBN Corporation President and Chief Executive Officer Carlo Katigbakin his speech, the awarding was not just an affirmation of the roles they play but of how they care for their customers.
“Tonight, we will witness not only a showcase of individual and team excellence among you, our dealers and customer care specialists. We will also find out from your stories how effectively you have collaborated to delight our customers around the world.” But beyond providing solutions to their problems and recording sales from engagements, the customer service agents and dealers have a bigger role to play according to ABS-CBN Global Ltd. Chief Operating Officer Rafael “Raffy” Lopez.
“It is not just about just solving a problem. It is helping the customer be able to reflect the positive story about our product, our service and most importantly our people,” Lopez said. Marking one of the most memorable performances for the night was TFC’s first Ambassador Martin Nievera.
Nievera recalled: “Back in the day, I was a warrior (tasked) to put out on a piece of paper three letters TFC, not knowing what that meant or what it would become and what you have become. Your hard work has now paid off. Twenty years later, here you are, all warriors,” Nievera ended.
