Yamaha Motor Philippines, Inc. returns to Tacloban to continue revitalizing the once devastated province that is now slowly rising back to its former way of life. The Yamaha Motorcycle Enterprise Shelter aims to be an institution that delivers lifetime technical skills to scholars and beneficiaries that belong to marginalized or those in the at risk sector of the society. This ensures not just an education for those who will be part of it but also a brighter future that started from humble beginnings.
This venture is done alongside Streetlights Foundation and the Consuelo foundation who share a vision of a better community in Tacloban. Of course, the shadow of what the super typhoon left behind is not easily forgotten. Last year, Yamaha rehabilitated Barangay Naghalin. This time around, this facility will be used to train, develop, and produce top motorcycle professionals in the country. Yamaha also donates equipments and tools that will be used in the facility to ensure World Class quality. In addition to that, a donation drive is also part of the program where the community received school bags, canned goods and apparel.
This activity goes to show Yamaha’s consistent care for the Filipino Community that goes beyond motorcycles. This return to Tacloban is a commitment to give a helping hand to everyone in need and Yamaha will not stop Revving Hearts.
