Dads reign as kings this June and CineMo! has prepared for a month-long celebration with five rib-tickling Pinoy movies dad and the whole family can laugh out loud to.

1. Erpat Kong Astig (June 16, 7PM Cinebakbakan Block)

Sen. Jinggoy Estrada stars in this action comedy flick about a widower dad who works hard to send his daughter to a private school to be able to get custody of her. He uses his desire to be with his daughter, to provide a good life for her, and to protect her as a motivation to work hard and do better in life. As an added quirk, the movie begins with a cameo from the Star for All Seasons, Vilma Santos, as a judge presiding over lawyers, played by Edu Manzano and Edgar Mortiz.

2. Tataynic (June 18, 6PM Dolphy: Hari ng Comedy Block)

Dolphy is not just known as the King of Comedy. More than that he is known as a loving dad to his children, both onscreen and off. He teams up with real life son, Vandolph, in this parody of 1997’s hit “Titanic.” Get ready to laugh at the misadventures of this father-son tandem, including running away from a bunch of goons, and trying to woo the women they like.

3. ‘Di Pa Tapos ang Labada, Darling (June 24, 9PM Cinetawanan Presents)

Vic Sotto and Dina Bonnevie play a couple tested by jealousy and differences in social class. They overcome their struggles with smiles, laughter, and a song and dance number to come together and become a stronger family.

4. Hindi Ako Ander, Itanong Mo Kay Kumander (June 28, 9PM Cinesaya Block)

Janno Gibbs is Tomas, a loving father and husband to Cindy, played by Janno’s real life wife, Bing Loyzaga. Tomas endured everything from morning sickness, an overbearing mother-in-law, estrangement, and even a hostage-taking situation just to prove his love and dedication to his family. This family knows how to be serious but also how to inject a lot of comedy to make even the most difficult of days feel like the best day ever.

5. Home Along Da Riles (June 30, 5AM Cinekomedya Block)

A list about hard working, loving, and funny dads would not be complete without the ultimate Pinoy TV and movie tatay, Kevin Kosme. A widower and father of four, Kevin Kosme lived for his children. He would always find ways to make ends meet to give his kids a good life and smile despite of their hardships. He was a father not just to his children but also to the tambays around the neighborhood, teaching them how to become better persons.

Tune into CineMo! on channel 3 of ABS-CBN TVplus this month to be able to watch these movies. There are also action movies for dads who want to relax on their special day, like Robin Padilla’s “Manila Boy” and FPJ’s “Manedyer… Si Kumander.” Dad can also catch up on “FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano” with a marathon of the week’s episodes every Sunday from 3-5PM.
