ABS-CBN continues to earn the trust and approval of the academe as it won outstanding TV station award and nine other awards at the Eastern Visayas State University-Ormoc’s 3rd Students’ Choice Mass Media Awards.
“TV Patrol,” the country’s most watched news program, was honored as the Most Trusted News Program; Jeff Canoy the new host of “Red Alert,” was conferred the Most Trusted Field Reporter award; morning news program “Umagang Kay Ganda” won Best Morning Show, while the public affairs show “Salamat Dok” was cited as Best Medical Program.
The Kapamilya network also proved again that it is home to hit, quality shows that resonate with Filipinos as it raked in awards including Best Primetime Series (“FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano”), Best Variety Show (“It’s Showtime”), Best Drama Anthology (“Maalaala Mo Kaya”), and Best Daytime Series (“The Greatest Love”). Meanwhile, Kapamilya star Vice Ganda continues to charm Filipinos as she was recognized as Best Comedian.
Like other student award-giving bodies, the Eastern Visayas State University Ormoc’s Students’ Choice Mass Media Awards honors excellent programs and personalities chosen by the university’s students and faculty.
