What do Aiana Duane Juarez and Selena Marie – Ukulele Girl have in common? They are beautiful, brainy, talented and musically gifted. They are also the new generation belles of Asian Artists Agency.
And if looks are not enough, wait until you hear these ladies sing. Both Selena Marie and Aiana come from musically-inclined families and enjoy performing in-front of a crowd.
For Aiana, singing is second nature. The youngest and only girl in the brood of four, Aiana was once part of a band called Game4 together with her brothers, composer Anton, Miko (who is part of the duo Miko and Gab), and Guil, Anton’s twin brother who plays bass. The siblings live in perfect harmony and are supportive of each other. Aiana has viral covers of “Titibo-Tibo” by Moira dela Torre, “Dahil Sa ‘Yo” by Iñigo Pascual, and “Perfect” by Ed Sheeran, “Havana” by Camila Cabello, and “Wolves” by Selena Gomez, Marshmello.
Selena Marie is dubbed as the Ukulele Girl with her amazing skills in strumming the string instrument. Adept in playing the ukulele, Selena also sings amazingly well. She emerged into the spotlight when she sang “Can’t Help Falling in Love” while playing the ukulele during the blind audition of The Voice Teens Philippines. She has covers of “How Far I’ll Go”, “Versace on the Floor”, “Isn’t She Lovely”, “Your Love”, and “Somewhere Over the Rainbow”, among others.
These fresh faces are making their presence felt on the social media and the internet. Their cover videos of hit songs are gaining a number of views, shares, and likes. They have thousands of subscribers in their own YouTube channel and commands large followings in their Facebook and Instagram.
Aiana shares, “I am grateful to be given the chance to do what I love doing. I love performing since I was a kid. It gives me an outlet to my creativity. That is why I enjoy doing covers of famous songs and posting them on my social media accounts. I am happy because my family is very supportive. I can always rely on my kuyas. They understand me since they are also into music.”
“I enjoy anything that has to do with music. The first time I saw a ukulele, I fell instantly for it because of its cute size and the soft melody that comes from it. I was able to learn playing the musical instrument by watching tutorials in YouTube. I love posting videos of my myself singing. Thanks to my social media followers for sharing, viewing, and liking my posts,” Selena Marie enthuses.
