Multi-awarded recording artist and Chairperson of the National Youth Commission Aiza Seguerra speaks about employment issues during the Global Youth Summit at the Mall of Asia Arena on March 3, 2017.
His insights on the country’s employment situation and its ties to economic growth involved remedying the disparity between education and career paths. According to him, a job goes beyond the purpose of putting food on the table: “It is for personal growth that should lead to job satisfaction and productive employment.”
The Global Youth Summit was held in conjunction with the Global Peace Convention 2017, which organized by the Global Peace Foundation (GPF) with the theme “Moral and Innovative Leadership: New Models for Peace and Development.” The GPC is a preeminent world-level platform to share best practices and develop collaborative strategies in areas of education, environmental sustainability, community-based development, and conflict resolution.
Aiza ended his talk with: “Guard your heart, guard your principles. Because your principles, your passion, and your dreams, will be the ones that will bring you success.”
