Multiple GRAMMY Award-winning singer/songwriter/producer/director/musician Bruno Mars has earned an assortment of new platinum certifications from the RIAA. 24K Magic (pronounced twenty-four karat magic), Mars’ chart-topping third studio album is now certified 2x platinum for sales and streams in excess of two million, and continues his string of multi-platinum certified albums. 24K Magic marked the highest first week debut for Mars and remained in the top 10 on the Billboard Hot 200 for an impressive 33 weeks. In addition, the collection’s first two smash singles, “24K Magic” and “That’s What I Like,” have both now been certified 4x platinum, marked sales and streams of more than 4 million units each.

The wide ranging success of “24K Magic” and “That’s What I Like” singles affirms Mars as one of the biggest chart stars in history, at present tied with Usher for the most #1 songs ever among male solo artists on Billboard’s “Radio Songs” chart. What’s more, Bruno is one of the few artists to have written and produced every one of his #1 hits, with each of his first three studio albums boasting a #1 song on the “Hot 100.” With seven “Hot 100” chart-toppers, Mars is now ranked #1 amongst male artists for the most “Hot 100” #1s this decade, extending his lead over Justin Bieber, Drake, Eminem, and The Weekend. In addition, Mars is the fastest male soloist to earn his first five #1 singles since Elvis Presley.

“That’s What I Like” has ascended to #1 at a remarkable number of radio formats, including Urban AC, Rhythmic, Urban Mainstream, Adult R&B, and CHR/Top 40. The single which previously reached #1 on the Billboard “Hot 100,” Mars’ seventh single to top the main chart has spent a remarkable 20 weeks atop Billboard’s “Hot R&B Songs” chart, matching the record for most weeks at #1 on that chart. “24K Magic,” the single, marked Mars’ highest chart debut and also set a record as the first song in 2016 to chart in the top 10 across three top radio formats, all in the same week.

As if its chart success weren’t enough, the official “That’s What I Like” and “24K Magic” companion visuals directed by Bruno himself continue to rule YouTube, each boasting total individual views of nearly 800 million at the official Bruno Mars YouTube channel.

Mars’ latest single, “Versace On The Floor,” is already an RIAA gold-certified smash despite having only impacted at multi-format radio earlier this month. Additionally, the official audio stream has racked up more than 130 million plays on YouTube alone.

Earlier this summer, Mars claimed his first-ever BET Award victory for “Best R&B/Pop Male Artist,” and also won the “Video Of The Year” award for “24K Magic.” Additionally, Mars received an impressive four MTV Video Music Awards nominations, including the coveted Artist Of The Year category. The 2017 Video Music Awards will air August 27th on MTV.

Mars is currently traveling North America on his hugely popular 24K Magic Tour. Produced by Live Nation, the massive global headline tour will culminate in early November with an eagerly awaited four-night stand at Los Angeles, CA’s The Forum.
