Key players and trailblazers in the Philippine startup, design and technological fields, gathered for this year’s Geeks on a Beach (GOAB) held at the Princesa Garden Island Resort and Spa Hotel, in Puerto Princesa, Palawan last August 24 and 25.
Geeks on a Beach (GOAB) was presented by Techtalks.ph, a non-profit business organization providing training and networking for tech entrepreneurs and startups in the Philippines. The conference is also sponsored by one of the Philippines’ leading telecom company,Eastern Communications.
GOAB, also continues to bring together hundreds of technology entrepreneurs, professionals and, budding companies from different sectors of the tech industry for the fifth year, making it a stage for developing, supporting and encouraging new and innovative, local companies that show the potential of the Philippine small and medium-sized enterprise (SME) and technology industry.
The conference was the ideal avenue for up-and-coming businesses as they were given the chance to acquaint themselves with investors at the private executive round table sessions and even pitch their existing or developing start-ups.
Eastern Communications supported the 5th Geeks on a Beach as part of their commitment towards championing small and medium-sized enterprise (SMEs)and startups as it provides connectivity solutions and services to entrepreneurs, along with forums and activities that provide information that will help SMEs speed up their growth.
