Ed Sheeran Announces His New Single “Galway Girl”

Global superstar, Ed Sheeran, has confirmed his new single “Galway Girl.” The track is available to purchase/stream across all platforms now and you can watch the accompanying lyric video here.

“Galway Girl” has already proven itself to be a firm favourite across the globe. Produced by Mike Elizondo (Eminem), Ed worked closely with Irish folk band, Beoga, on the track. A collaborative effort, with further writing credits from Johnny McDaid, Foy Vance and Amy Wadge, “Galway Girl” takes inspiration from Beoga’s original song “Minute 5” after Ed and the band joined forces for a writing session last year. Currently sitting at #2 in the UK’s Official Singles Chart and enjoying heavy rotation across Radio 1/Capital/Radio 2, the track stormed straight to #1 in Ireland upon release, where it has now held the top spot for two consecutive weeks.

Ed’s single news follows a phenomenal few weeks for the troubadour. His third studio album ‘÷’ (divide), which was released on March 3, continues to break records across the world and has already become one of the most important global album releases of recent years.
