Guests had a blast at the Happy Hour and Kick-off for the 79th Oktoberfest sponsored by Etihad Airways. Free flowing beer and sumptuous food was served at the German Club Manila’s premises located in a penthouse in Makati’s central business district.
The night of good fun was a sneak peek to the most authentic Oktoberfest in Manila, which will be on October 6 and 7 at Sofitel Philippine Plaza Manila.
Now on its eighth year at Sofitel, the most authentic German beer festival in the Philippines will be held at Sofitel’s expansive Harbor Garden Tent. Paying homage to time-honored Bavarian customs, the marquee will be transformed into a traditional biergarten for the most authentic staging of the Oktoberfest in the country. With each evening hosting more than 2,000 guests, the event will showcase a grand feast of sumptuous Bavarian specialties featuring roasted pork knuckles, roasted calf, laugen rolls, grilled German sausages and mouthwatering pastries with unlimited ice-cold San Miguel beer.
Highlight of the evening’s Happy Hour and Kick-off was a raffle draw for an Etihad Airways roundtrip ticket to Germany (selected cities only). The lucky winner was Martin Baulig, a German expatriate and partner in a marketing and PR firm with offices in Makati.
