This May, Sony GEM brings back all the drama that unfolds with the return of two popular shows – the Finals of the Spring 2017 edition of Nippon Television Network Corporation’s (Nippon TV) singing competition “I Can Sing in Japanese!,” and the sequel to the highly acclaimed drama “Your Home is My Business! Returns.”
Filipino singing sensation Krissha Viaje, who won the Asian search of I Can Sing In Japanese! in February, will make her debut in the international stage as she showcases her singing prowess in her own rendition of a hit Japanese song, together with 11 other finalists representing the U. S. A., Belgium, Norway, Argentina, Chile, and from other parts of the world.
This season’s panel of judges consists of R&B and pop singer May J, singer-songwriter Tatsuya Ishii, and famed musician Tetsuya Komuro, who is widely regarded as one of the most successful producers in the Japanese music industry.
Now on its seventh year, the latest edition of the prestigious competition will be hosted by multi-talented artiste, Nakai Masahiro and TV announcer Yukari Nishio.
The performances of the other finalists in the Asian auditions, where Krissha Viaje bested 11 other contestants from Cambodia, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, and Thailand, will also be shown in an hour-long feature, which airs on the same day at 5pm, first and exclusively on Sony GEM.
I Can Sing in Japanese! Spring 2017 airs on Saturday, 13 May, at 6pm at the same time as Japan with an encore telecast on Sunday, 21 May at 8:30pm on Sony GEM.
Japanese actress and former model Keiko Kitagawa is back from the original hit series to showcase more of her selling antics as real estate agent Machi Sangenya, who always gets the job done when it comes to her profession. Single and attractive, she uses her charm, wits, and more to make sure she closes every deal no matter who the client is.
In the sequel, Machi returns to work at Teiko Real Estate to save the struggling company. Guided by her personal mantra “There isn’t a house I can’t sell”, Machi closes one deal after another with an array of interesting clients that include a Chinese man with a passion for hoarding Japanese properties, an elementary school child star who buys a home for his father, and a poverty-stricken single mother.
Your Home Is My Business! Returns airs on Friday, 26 May, at 8pm at the same time as Japan on Sony GEM.
