The film won the Audience Choice award at the 29th Tokyo International Film Festival, while Paolo Ballesteros, the movie’s lead star had a stellar performance leading to his citation as the festival’s Best Actor. His performance was also given the Special Jury Award for Outstanding Performance at the 21st International Film Festival of Kerala.
Locally, it won various awards from multiple award-giving bodies like the MMFF, the Film Development Council of the Philippines, and the 15th Gawad Tanglaw Awards among others.
It screens with another much-praised comedy, “Ang Babae Sa Septic Tank 2,” the Eugene Domingo starrer that became a box office success.
