Three of Jona’s songs “Pusong Ligaw,” “Maghihintay Ako,” and “You” have made it to the first BillboardPH Top 20 Charts released last June 12, making the power belter the first Filipino artist to achieve such a feat in the highly anticipated music charts.
The Kapamilya singer shares that when she learned that BillboardPH was coming up with their own charts, she only wished that one of her songs would get included. “I’m so thankful that not just one, but three made it. I’m grateful for the fans who continue to listen to my songs.”
Jona’s “Pusong Ligaw” is the biggest winner, ranking number 3 in the first BillboardPH Charts. This is the theme song of the hit ABS-CBN afternoon teleserye with the same title.
“Maghihintay Ako,” ranked no. 6, is the track the Birit Queen member interpreted for Himig Handog P-pop Love Songs in 2016, while the song “You,” which is part of the “My Ex and Whys” movie soundtrack, is ranked no. 9.
All three songs are included in Jona’s self-titled album released in February this year, her first album under Star Music.
The freshly released BillboardPH Top 20 reflects current favorite songs of Filipinos based on listenership and purchases across different platforms. According to Billboard.PH, the songs are ranked by streaming activity figures from Spotify, Apple Music and YouTube as well as download sales data from Apple iTunes. From these sources, Nielsen Music collate and average data to determine the final list of hits and hitmakers.
