Following an impressive weekend in Cebu for the Sinulog Festival, the Jose Cuervo DJ Tour returned with a successful follow up the weekend after at the Dinagyang Festival in Iloilo.
Inspired by the Ati-Atihan Festival in Aklan, the Dinagyang Festival is an event that honors both the Santo Nino and the arrival of Malay settlers on the island of Panay. For almost two decades, this festival became renowned the world over, having received attention and acclaim from both the United Nations and the Asian Development Bank.
The main focus of the Dinagyang Festival is the Ati Tribe competition, in which warrior dancers from various schools and barangays come together in a dance competition that showcases elaborate choreography and intricate costumes all set to the beat of traditional Filipino drum patterns.
Inspired by this passionate display of culture and history, Jose Cuervo, the world’s most famous tequila brand, celebrated the Dinagyang Festival by providing Iloilo with two consecutive nights of back-to-back fun as the Jose Cuervo DJ Tour made its return to the region!
