In its commitment to efficiently carry out its obligations, Manila Water forged partnerships with two technology giants in the development and implementation of a comprehensive project management system. Dubbed by the company as the Enterprise Portfolio and Project Management System (EPPMS), this powerful tool integrates all processes related to portfolio and project management: from project initiation to project close-out, even up to monitoring the project’s benefit. The system also allows the real-time monitoring of project performance and resources by the entire project team all throughout the project’s timeline.

IT leader Tech Mahindra will design and eventually oversee the implementation of the solutions to be utilized by the EPPMS, while another technology leader, Oracle, will provide the applications to be used for the system. Speaking for Tech Mahindra, Sudhir Dhar, Vice President for Delivery in ASEAN, said they are up to the challenge in meeting the solutions needs of Manila Water, its first utility company client in the Philippines. “As true partners, we have to work together to see how we can realize the expectations for this project,” he said. For their part, Oracle expressed eagerness in working with Manila Water for this innovatory work. “We are confident that through our continued joint effort and commitment, we will be able to achieve the transformation in the way Manila Water manages and delivers its projects,” said Anthony Tse, Sales Director of Oracle Construction and Engineering Global Business Unit.

“Through the EPPMS, the enterprise will now have a reliable ‘single source of truth’ for CAPEX information, enabling the much-improved governance through centralized and integrated monitoring and control of project implementation,” shared Maidy Lynne Quinto, Group Director for Corporate Project Management of Manila Water.

A ceremonial contract signing was recently held to seal the partnerships between the three companies. Joining the members of the management committee of Manila Water were officers from both Tech Mahindra and Oracle Construction and Engineering Global Business Unit.
