Marketplace by Rustan’s is bringing you a taste of the best wines from the world’s finest vineyards at The World of Wine, a 3-day wine fairfrom September 29 to October 1 at the Shangri-La Plaza Grand Atrium.The celebration also continues in-store until October 8.
Marketplace by Rustan’s features its choice wine selections from premium wine-growing regions around the globe. Twelve highly-respected winemakers coming from Australia, France, Spain, and Argentina will be bringing their best bottles to the fair and sharing their expertise on understanding the different kinds of wines and vineyards in the world, understanding how wine is made, the landscape of the wine industry in various wine appellations, and so much more.
Expand your knowledge on wine by participating in a series of talks during the fair to be facilitated by the winemakers themselves. On September 29 at 2PM, Laurent Barrier from Château Pey Mallet in France will be talking about Understanding Bordeaux Wine Region, while at 4PM Christopher Buckland-Smith from Wines Overland will be telling you all about Argentina and Chile: A Tale of Conquistadores, Oceans, and Mountains.
On September 30 at 1PM, learn about Varietals of Eastern Australian Wines with Anthony Murphy from the Trentham winery in Australia; at 3PM, Laurent Mery from Château Lamothe-Bergero in France will widen your understanding of The Rise of Wine Tourism, while at 5PM, Pablo Aranda Hynes from Grupo Penaflor in Argentina will tell you about the Terroirs of Mendoza, Argentina. Then on October 1 at 2PM, Elena Hernandez from the Tempore winery in Spain elevates your awareness on Spanish Diversity in Culture and Traditions from North to South; while at 4PM, Mark Davidson from the Tamburlaine winery in Australia teaches you about Organic Wines and How to Make Them.
Also joining the roster of sommeliers are Graham Cranswick Smith from the Cranswick winery, Sam Mete from the Robert Oatley Vineyards, and Michael Rogers from Wines Overland.
In The World of Wine fair, Marketplace by Rustan’s specially curated a wine list featuring quality choices from the rarest bottles in the world to vintage wines, which you can avail of at the best value. Choice wines with only a few bottles left in the market such as the 2010 Château Leoville-Las Cases Saint Julien 2 Cru Classe, the 1994 ChâteauLeoville-Las Cases Saint Julien 2 Cru Classe, the 2003 Château Nenin Pomerol, the 2004 Clos du Marquis Saint Julien, and the 2008 Clos du Marquis Saint Julien will be sold exclusively during the event only.
