When asked what song best represents how The Moffatts feels for their Filipino fans during their press conference held at Marco Polo Hotel Ortigas yesterday, Bob Moffatt immediately responded, “I miss you like crazy.”

Bob is ¼ of the Canadian pop-rock band that will stage their “Farewell Tour” at the Araneta Coliseum on February 18, 16 years since their last visit in Manila. The Moffatt brothers Scott, Clint and Bob are set to perform all of their ’90s hits one last time but promises to perform materials from their new projects – Endless Summer, and Scott Moffatt.

“We only have six months to prepare for this concert”, Clint confessed. “But we promise it will be a fun night.”

Scott, the eldest in the band whose brothers by the way are triplets, also revealed something to his their fans. He announced, “One of my upcoming MTV will be shoot here in the Philippines.”

Dave Moffatt will not be joining his siblings after leaving the music scene to pursue a career as a Yoga instructor.

The Moffatts

The group became a hit in the 1990s and are known for their two classic hits, “Miss You Like Crazy” and “If Life Is So Short”, which rival the Eagles‘ “Hotel California” for being the biggest international songs of all time in the Philippines. To this day, they remain the biggest selling international band in the Philippines.

In 2000, the boys managed to gather the largest audience ever at the Hard Rock Café in Manila. A glass panel at the entrance reportedly collapsed because too many people were trying to get in. To add to that, The Moffatts once had close to 40,000 people in attendance at their SM Mega Mall show in 1998.

The band have had 14 hits songs in the Philippines which include “I’ll Be There For You,” “Crazy,” “Misery,” “Girl of My Dreams,” and “Bang Bang Boom,” among others.
