An explosive weekend awaits SKY Pay-Per-View subscribers as they get a ringside view of one of the most anticipated fights of the year, the Donnie “Ahas” Nietes – Komgrich Nantapech duel, a fight for the International Boxing Federation (IBF) Flyweight Championship this Saturday, April 29, 6PM.
Nietes (39-4-1; 22KOs), the former light flyweight king, who is undefeated for 10 years, made a successful leap from light flyweight to flyweight last year and is now currently ranked third worldwide. Meanwhile, Nantapech (22-3; 15KOs), also known as Eaktwan BTU Ruaviking of Thailand, is right on Nietes’ heels at fourth. Natapech is currently enjoying a 15 fight winning streak. This will be Nietes’ third championship should he win the fight. He is following in the footsteps of Filipino boxing greats, Sen. Manny Pacquiao and Nonito “The Flash” Donaire, who have multiple belts under their name.
The bout will be co-headlined by up and coming boxer Mark “Magnifico” Magsayo’s (15-0; 11KOs) match against Tanzanian Issa Nempepeche (24-7-4; 11KOs).
