Chef Patrick Terrien of Loire Valley has led an illustrious culinary career. He started as a sauce chef and then became cuisine sous chef under Chef Charles Janon at the Intercontinental Paris. He became sous chef to Michelin Star Chef Joël Robuchon at the Nikko Hotel Paris and then Chef Instructor for a tenure of 24 years at Le Cordon Bleu Paris, one of the most recognized culinary institutes worldwide.
Chef Patrick has gained notable accolades featuring the Diplôme du Mérite Culinaire from Club Prosper Montagé in 1984 and was awarded 3rd place in the Club des Toques Blanches competition.
Set to leave a legacy of outstanding French cuisine in the world of gastronomy, he has embarked on sharing his passion to the next generation by teaching. He was Chef Instructor at the Tsuji Academy in Osaka, Japan for 4 years earning him an Honorary Member Distinction of the Tsuji Academy. He is a member of Toques Blaches International Club, an association of professional chefs worldwide. He is also a member of Academie Culinaire of France. A well-respected Chef Instructor, French journalists have noted his meticulous technique in cooking and his attention to the minutest detail. He has focused emphasis on the development of the technical skills of his students and aspiring chefs.
As an expert in traditional French cuisine, he has imparted his knowledge and co-authored La Cuisine Tourangelle, a book dedicated to the cuisine of his native region, the Touraine. Chef Patrick Terrien has over 49 years of culinary experience and serves as the French Food Ambassador and guest French Master Chef in 21 countries where he holds cooking demonstrations in various food festivals. He summarizes his passion for cooking and shares, “Cooking is all about love. Put love to the food you make.” He enjoys exploring new ingredients that can enrich his recipes. He looks forward to exploring Filipino ingredients and getting know the local culinary landscape.
