Season 2 of HBO Asia’s dark action fantasy drama original series, HALFWORLDS, will culminate with two back-to-back episodes this Sunday, February 26, 2017 at 9pm, exclusively on HBO. Set in Bangkok and starring an ensemble cast of leading Asian actors from Thailand, Indonesia and the Philippines, the series follows a researcher who tries to uncover the secret world of demons as she searches for an ancient artefact of great power. HALFWORLDS Season 2 will also be available on HBO GO.
The season finale will see the true power of the ancient artefact, the Kris of Amorana, and an unexpected turn of story full of betrayals and deaths. Amidst all the mayhem, some will be freed from the burden of their past while others will carry the burden of losing the things that they love forever.

Directed by renowned Thai filmmaker Ekachai Uekrongtham (Beautiful Boxer, Skin Trade), this season’s stellar cast of leading Asian actors include returning cast – Indonesians Reza Rahadian (Habibie & Ainun) and Arifin Putra (The Raid 2) – and new cast members such as Thais Peem Jaiyen (Hormones 3), Tia Tavee (Asia’s Next Top Model 2), Emma Grant (The Idol Game), Myra Molloy (Thailand’s Got Talent), Nicole Theriault (Phobia 2), Jeeja Yanin (Chocolate), David Asavanond (The Last Executioner) and Charlie Ruedpokanon (Only God Forgives), Filipino Jake Macapagal (Metro Manila), and Taiwanese Teresa Daley (Transformers: Age of Extinction), who also starred in HBO Asia’s GRACE.
