ABS-CBN bagged a total of five awards at the 16th Philippine Quill Awards for its various communication campaigns and projects, including the innovative “La Luna Sangre” fans’ online community “Moonchasers.ph.”
“Moonchasers.ph,” a website and portal that complements viewers’ experience of watching the top-rating teleserye “La Luna Sangre,” won for its experiential offering that took the TV viewing experience a step further by bringing fans and audiences together in an online interactive community to help Tristan (Daniel Padilla) locate werewolves and vampires.
ABS-CBN Lingkod Kapamilya Foundation Inc.’s “Pinoy Tsuper Hero: Empowering Drivers Nationwide” was also recognized for engaging more than 20,000 drivers all over the Philippines to combat smoke pollution and promote safe and ethical driving practices by awarding outstanding drivers who embodied goodness, excellence, honesty, and environment stewardship.
On the other hand, ABS-CBN TVplus’ all-kids channel YeY won an award for “Cedie Premiere: A National Children’s Month 2017 Special Celebration,” which involved a special screening of digitally restored and remastered children’s movie classic “Cedie” for children from various ALKFI beneficiaries, along with a full day of educational play at KidZania Manila.
“Push Awards 2017” also won for bringing fans and their favorite celebrities together in one event as it awarded the hottest Kapamilya stars voted by netizens.
ABS-CBN’s internal project “Spoken Hugot” contest via the employee intranet site e-Frequency was recognized for giving employees a platform to express themselves and hone their talent for spoken word poetry. The contest engaged employees who voted online for their favorite contestants and culminated in an on-ground finals night.
The prestigious annual Philippine Quill Awards is presented by the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC) Philippines to honor excellent communications programs and tools.
