ABS-CBN is giving its audience a more intimate viewing experience with its new teleseryes and reality shows that tell the story of the Filipino as revealed at the network’s “The Front Row Experience” trade event held Thursday night (August 2) at the Marriott Hotel.
The network will find its next big star through its grand audition show, “Star Hunt,” where star dreamers have the chance of fighting for their hopes and dreams. Meanwhile, “Pinoy Big Brother” the longest-running and most successful reality series in the country makes its return to TV later in the year. “Kid’s Choice,” an original concept game show where kids will be the judges, will premiere this year.
Primetime shows will continue to give Kapamilyas stories they can relate to and aspire for. Leading the block is “Halik,” which is set to begin on August 13 and stars Jericho Rosales, Sam Milby, Yen Santos, and Yam Concepcion in a complicated story of love and fidelity.
Other shows to watch out for are “Ngayon at Kailanman” starring Joshua Garcia and Julia Barretto and “Playhouse” with Angelica Panganiban and Zanjoe Marudo. Rounding out the primetime viewing experience is the anticipated return of Judy Ann Santos-Agoncillo in “Starla,” and “Meteor Garden” to Philippine TV, which is slated to air on August 20.
News personalities Anthony Taberna and Jorge Cariño put the spotlight on ordinary Filipinos in “Pareng Partners,” which began airing last July 28.
Kapamilyas will also get an exclusive look at the red carpet of the most glamorous evening in the Philippine entertainment industry, the “ABS-CBN Ball 2018: Share the Love,” on the Metro Channel.
The trade event also showcased what’s in store from other ABS-CBN units. There’s the KathNiel-starrer “The Hows of Us” from Star Cinema and “Exes Baggage,” featuring real-life exes Angelica Panganiban and Carlo Aquino from Black Sheep, the newest brand under ABS-CBN Films.
The night also highlighted the milestones of ABS-CBN in the digital shift, which includes the additional new channels on ABS-CBN TVplus and the network’s ten million subscribers on Youtube.
However, according to Integrated Sales head August Benitez, ABS-CBN “will never forget the personal and physical touch,” which is why the network is now leading the industry to the next frontier, experiential entertainment, with its events across the country and the world, and the opening of the Kapamilya Studio XP in TriNoma.
