The cinemas are set for the latest powerful collaboration of highly-respected filmmakers James Cameron, Jon Landau and Robert Rodriguez in another yet unparalleled cinematic experience in “Alita: Battle Angel” in 2019.

20th Century Fox has just released its Battle Ready Trailer (20th Century Fox PH Facebook page and 20thcenturyfoxph YouTube channel).

Opening soon in 2019 in PH cinemas, based on Yukito Kishiro’s classic Manga series, “Alita: Battle Angel” is set in the 26th century, 300 years after the Great Wars when all but one of the great Sky Cities fell and technology was set back centuries. It’s a story about a cyborg girl named Alita (Rosa Salazar) whose cyber core, having been discarded from the Sky City above, is rescued from a Scrapyard by a grieving father, Ido (Christoph Waltz). She is repaired with a new doll-like cyber-body that Ido built long ago for his paraplegic daughter. Tragically, the daughter died before Ido finished making the body. Alita, in many ways, represents a second chance at fatherhood for Ido.
