Regional pageant title holders, the Binibinis of Cebu, recently visited Ocean Park Hong Kong for an immersion of a lifetime. The five lucky ladies – Maria Gigante, Ingrid Elizabeth Gerodias, Apriel Smith, Samantha Ashley Lo and Kathleen Mae Lendio – went up close with different animal ambassadors and experienced exciting rides inside the Park.
Part of their itinerary was to visit giant pandas and red pandas residing at the Amazing Asian Animals. They also joined the “Meet the Dolphin”, a “Get Closer to the Animals” programme to have an up-close encounter with dolphins and learn fun facts about this remarkable species. “The animals were really fun to meet, and this is my first time seeing real giant pandas! They are cute and cuddly, and you can tell that Ocean Park Hong Kong takes very good care of them,” said Bb. Apriel Smith.
Bb. Ingrid Elizabeth Gerodias added, “Visiting Ocean Park Hong Kong was a new experience for most of us. We had the opportunity to better appreciate animal life and came to realise how much responsibility we have in our hands to help conserve animals in the wild. Another highlight during my stay here is the thrilling rides; I definitely recommend the virtual reality Mine Train and Hair Raiser! There’s so much to discover in Ocean Park Hong Kong and I look forward to coming back again.”
As Ocean Park celebrated its 40th anniversary last year, bigger developments were made for tourists and visitors as the theme park develops into an all-round international resort destination. True to its core, it continuously enhances in-park experience to attract more visitors from around the world.
Next year, the Park will be introducing its first year-round, all-weather Water World to the public. The water park will feature world-class and one of a kind water attractions, including different dynamic and state-of-the-art water slides, wave pools, and well as an array of dining and shopping options to provide guests with excitement and fun all year round.
Together, these new developments will play an integral part of Ocean Park’s on-going transformation into an international resort destination.
