The best European club football action is back to amaze and inspire Filipinos once more as ABS-CBN Sports and Triple CH partner again to bring selected matches from the English Premier League (EPL), Spanish La Liga, and the Italian Serie A to free television via ABS-CBN S+A starting Sunday (August 12).
Kicking things off are EPL matches as Everton visits Wolverhampton on Sunday (August 12), which airs at 12:55 am, while a retooled Arsenal hosts 2018 EPL champions Manchester City for a nightcap on the same day at 10:55 pm.
Arsenal, which lost longtime boss Arsene Wenger and brought in new manager Unai Emery, look to bounce back in the 2018-2019 season aftertweaking the squad with the signings of Patrick Lacazette, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, and Henrikh Mkhitaryan, who will be joining the attack line with German star Mesut Ozil.
Meanwhile,EPL champion Manchester City still boasts of Argentinian national squad mainstay Sergio Aguero, English national team forward Raheem Sterling, and Belgian Kevin De Bruyne, who turned headswith his World Cup performance alongside Manchester United’s Romelu Lukkaku.
This year, Pinoy football fans will start seeing matches from Serie A,the most-prominent Italian league that is also teeming with football stars that fans across the world recognize, led by 5-time Ballon d’Or winner Cristiano Ronaldo, who just transferred to Juventus from Real Madrid, Gonzalo Higuain (AC Milan), Dries Mertens (Napoli), Mauro Icardi (Inter), and Andrea Belotti (Torino). The Italian league also ranks 10th in the world in domestic football league attendance, while also being a hotbed of young European football talent. S+A will also soon air five matches of the star-studded Paris Saint German squad in France’s Ligue 1, featuring football superstars Neymar Jr., Edinson Cavani, the recent FIFA World Cup’s breakout star Kylian Mbappe, and his Fillipino-French teammate in Les Bleus, Alphonse Areola.

Other matches to look forward to this month include La Liga action for Barcelona-Alaves on August 19 at 4:10 am. Meanwhile, AC Milan takes on Genoa on August 20 at 2:30 am before coverage goes back to La Liga on August 21 with Athletic vs Leganes at 4 am. It’s back to the EPL on August 26 as Liverpool hosts Brighton at 12:25 am. August 27 sees a La Liga double-header with Espanyol-Valencia at 12:10 am followed by Sevilla-Villareal at 2:10 am. The EPL match between Manchester City and Tottenham will cap August football action on August 28 at 2:55 am. All matches will be airing LIVE on S+A.
