One action hit after another will leave Cinemax audiences on SKY catching their breath as it rolls out its ‘Maximum Action Movie Collection’ until July 31, beginning with the 90s cult classic “Fight Club.”
Known for polarizing audiences for its amoral depiction of violence, the movie adaptation of Chuck Palahnuik’s novel of the same title follows the journey of an insomniac anonymous narrator (Edward Norton) whose life spirals into disarray as he tries to escape from his otherwise boring life—until he meets Tyler Durden (Brad Pitt), a charismatic soap salesman sidelining as an amateur computer hacker who provides him the much-desired break.
After the two spend the night together, they decide to start a Fight Club, an underground group that provides men a venue for recreational fighting. But what follows this bring the narrator to the edge of danger.
Nineteen years after it screened in cinemas, “Fight Club” is back for Gen X-ers to relive and still relate to. Catch its repeat airing on July 16, Monday at 12:00am.
The Brad Pitt-Edward Norton starrer will be followed by other iconic 90s hits, from “Total Recall,” “Under Siege,” “Twister,” “Virtuosity,” “L.A. Confidential,” “Basic Instinct,” “Enemy of the State,” and “The Mask of Zorro.”
